Making Good Men Better in Celina, TX

At the Celina Masonic Lodge, located in Celina, Texas, we are dedicated to fostering a spirit of brotherhood and community engagement among our members. Our mission is to promote moral values and support charitable initiatives that enhance the well-being of our members and the community at large, including the Collin County Mason community.

Freemasonry, as practiced in North Texas masonry, is a fraternity that is restricted to men; however, it differs from some college fraternities in that there is no hazing involved. The Masonic Order is a serious group, existing to take good men and help them become better men. It is important to note that it is not a reform society, and it does not exist to reform criminals, as such individuals would not benefit from its teachings.

Masonry does require its adherents to have a belief in God and life after death, although it does not ask anyone to elaborate on the specifics of their beliefs. Candidates must also learn some memory work after each degree is conferred upon them, including a set amount of time to master the catechism, which consists of questions and answers that they must recite before the lodge members at a lodge meeting.

It is essential to understand that Masonry is not a religion. There is nothing in Freemasonry that interferes with a man's religious life. Members of all faiths and Christian denominations are welcome within the worldwide Masonic fraternity, and discussions about religion and politics are not permitted during lodge sessions.

Masonry emphasizes the importance of helping those in need, particularly caring for the widows and orphans of Masons. Most Grand Lodges have provisions within their jurisdiction for homes for aged Masons, their wives, and widows, as well as homes for Masonic orphans.

In the U.S.A. alone, all branches of Masonry combined provide over $1.5 million in charitable aid PER DAY, showcasing the commitment of organizations like the Celina Masonic Lodge to support those in need.
